Donations Policy

Cambodia Action, like many charities, operates a policy that all gifts given without any indication of purpose are put into the Mission's general funds for use wherever the need is greatest.

However, when donors have a desire to give to a specific purpose then we encourage this to be expressed as a 'donor preference' rather than a gift restricted to that purpose only. This allows us the flexibility to redesignate the funds to other purposes if for some reason it becomes impossible for the money to be used for the expressed preference. An example might be that the target figure for a particular need is already achieved.  For substantial sums of money Cambodia Action would normally consult with the donor before such redesignation took place.

However if restricted gifts are made, should the purpose for the gift disappear, then the Charity is required to return the funds to the donor.

For this reason Cambodia Action would like to encourage you to tick the box on the form stating that you are willing for the 'gift to be used where most needed'.
